Light emanates from the ark, from the Torah and like a prism radiates in the rainbow colors of the spectrum., recalling God’s promise to Noah and to us. Revealed within this fractured light are the branches and leaves of the tree of life. On its leaves are imprinted the random array of Hebrew letters that is the raw material of creation. The roots of the tree are in the heavens, in the ten sacred spheres. It spreads toward earth, hovering above the land, like a portent of rain. The fields of flowers and grains spreads to the horizon, the heavy hand of man is upon the earth. The colors of the sky are reflected on the land, the hope and commitment of God redeem the endless fields with the promise of light. of sustenance, of a future.
