Acacia wood ark doors and furniture

Completed in 1996, the sliding stained glass ark doors and matching Bema furniture  was the final phase of the  Sanctuary Stained Glass Project, for Congregation Beth Shalom, in Carmichael, California.  The design for the stained glass highlights the congregation's historic Ner Tamid.  The inscription of the Ten Commandments, on the doors is rendered in gold leaf. The doors, casements and three pieces of bema furniture are made of California acacia, in collaboration with Mendocino county furniture-maker, Mike Steffen.
